The flagship store of The Cook’s Warehouse on Amsterdam Avenue has officially opened in their new location in Ansley Mall. Mary S. Moore, owner and founder, says that the new 6,500-square-foot space at Piedmont Avenue and Monroe Drive, formerly occupied by Piccadilly Cafeteria, has been converted to her dream store.

The original store and cooking school outgrew its space so Mary took the opportunity to relocate it to one of in-town Atlanta’s most successful mall. Mary opened her first cookware store on Amsterdam Avenue in March, 1995. She grew from this one store with two employees to 48 associates in three locations.

The new store includes:

  • A bright new cookware area in the front to display more cookware and accessories
  • A cooking school facility, able to accommodate more than double the participants than the previous space
  • Four kitchen/large appliance areas: the cooking school, beverage and refrigeration, a lifestyle kitchen, and an outdoor kitchen

The Cook’s Warehouse is greater Atlanta’s premier gourmet cookware store and cooking school with three stores in the Midtown, Decatur, and Brookhaven areas. It offers more than 15,000 products for the kitchen and operates the largest avocational cooking school in the Southeast, conducting more than 600 classes yearly, often taught by local chefs, and has a large web-based delivery-by-post site.
