It’s all in a Wine Glass

Wine glasses are always the perfect gift for the bride and groom to be to the holiday hostess to the wine connoisseurs in your life; or now’s the perfect time to also stock your bar with a wider variety of wine glasses in preparation for the holidays.

A quality wine glass is a must in order to get the full enjoyment from a bottle of good wine and the proper wine glass makes all the difference. Wine glasses are produced in an unlimited number of shapes, sizes, and colors; with stem or without stem. To fully appreciate the different varietals and the subtle characteristics of individual wines, it is essential to have a glass which has a shape fine-tuned for the purpose. Hence why there are so many wine glasses produced. The shape is responsible for the quality and intensity of the bouquet and the flow of the wine. I recommend a quality clear crystal wine glass (not decorative or colored crystal). You’ll appreciate the wine’s color and legs more in a clear wine glass. I personally prefer a wine glass with a 3” – 5” stem but the no-stem glasses are very popular today. Choose a variety of quality wine glasses and a quality wines and enjoy with friends.
