Second in the series of Barnsley Gardens Resort’s wine dinners that features exceptional wine cellar pairings with seasonally inspired cuisine resumes on Saturday, February 26th. The creative menu for this evening has been designed by Barnsley Gardens Resort’s Executive Chef Charles Vosburgh around the Hess Family Estates wines — many of the wines never released to the public and not announced until the evening of the dinner. For each dinner, a representative from the vineyard will be in attendance to answer questions and stimulate lots of wine conversation.
The Hess Family Estates wine dinner takes place in the intimate setting of the Rice House at Barnsley Gardens Resort at 7 p.m. and the cost is $120/per person. Here’s the evening’s creative menu prepared specifically around each wine pairing:
- Eggplant with Kobe beef, Spinach, Ginger and Sesame-Miso Sauce
- Field Greens, Pears, Manchego Cheese and Walnut Vinaigrette
- Roasted Duck Breast and Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Confit Bread Pudding Winter Vegetables and Duck Jus
- Passion Fruit Crepe Soufflé, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Café
The remaining wine dinner series continues in March with Blue Rock Vineyard on Saturday, March 12 and Stephen Ross Wine Cellars on Saturday, March 26.
