Peachtree Farmers Market 2016BFrom April 13 to October 26, there will be an additional day each week to enjoy the Peachtree Road Farmers Market (2744 Peachtree Road), the largest producer-only market in metro Atlanta. Every Wednesday from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Atlantans can enjoy food and drink from familiar Saturday market vendors, new vendors, and a rotating schedule of Atlanta’s favorite chefs. Food will be available to-go, or for dining at outdoor picnic tables on-site. Each week, the Wednesday market will also feature tastings from a local craft brewery, like Second Self Beer Co.; Monday Night Brewing; Orpheus Brewing; Wrecking Bar Brewpub; plus fresh produce, eggs, dairy, and meat from local farmers and bread, pasta, jam, and more from local food producers.

The Wednesday market series will function as a mini outdoor food hall with weekly restaurant pop-ups from Atlanta chefs, like Nick Leahy of Saltyard; Jarrett Stieber of Eat Me Speak Me; Zach Meloy of Better Half; Kevin Gillespie of Gunshow, Revival, and Terminus City BBQ; Hector Santiago of El Super Pan; Nick Melvin of Venkman’s; and Terry Koval of Wrecking Bar Brewery. Please check the website throughout the market season for an up-to-date chef schedule. There will also be prepared food from the Peachtree Road Market’s regularly featured vendors, like Flora & Flour, The Spotted Trotter, Pine Street Market, S&J’s Woodfired Pizza and King of Pops.

Peachtree Farmers Market 2016In addition to dinner, the market will feature options for midweek grocery needs, like locally baked bread, farm-fresh eggs, meats and produce. All participating farmers are Certified Naturally Grown or Certified Organic, and all produce and meats are raised and grown in Georgia.

The new market hours will give Atlantans another opportunity to enjoy and support the local economy and sustainable agriculture. In case of rain, the market will be held indoors. The Peachtree Road Farmers Market will reopen Saturdays on April 2 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
