Today’s the start of a new day.
Today I’ve started a blog. Yes, I broke down and moved into the world of blogging. Why have I started a blog? Good question. Well, I’ve wanted to pursue something new for quite some time and I feel that now is the perfect time for self reinvention. Most of you know that when I set my mind to it I can accomplish just about anything. I’ve wanted to pursue some other creative ventures and I felt that a blog would be the best way to put myself out there and test some concepts with my friends via the World Wide Web.
So to start I thought I’d let you know a little more about me. Since 1996 I’ve run a successful marketing communications and design firm called Op5 Creative http://www.opfivecreative.com. Prior to that I had careers with Southern Progress Corporation (Southern Living and Southern Accents magazines) and The Pillsbury Company. I have a passion for cooking, entertaining, dining out, shopping, home design, health and wellness and of course, business (I especially admire other women in business). I have another passion in life which is my husband Tim, so you’ll be hearing about him too.
On a daily basis I will update my blog on my various “passion” subjects which could include food, entertaining, restaurants, shopping, home design, health and wellness, women in business profiles, and just for fun things that might brighten or add value to your day. And since I’m a southerner, my blog will have a southern flair.
So here’s to a new creative beginning and it’s all with a southern twist.

Wow this is neat. I will put it on my favorites as you have always been. Love, Carolyn
Hi Wendy,
Great to hear from you. You haven’t changed a bit! Hope Tim is well. Bill & I are still framing we’re trying to hold on during these awful economic times. We are blessed to still be in business after 26 years. Best wishes on the blog. Look forward to keeping in touch.

Well Im glad to find you here and welcome to the world of blogging! It’s fun and I have a.d.d. so it really helps me to get it out and do say whatever I feel like saying and doing. Lots of fun.
As your readership grows you can venture out and start to do restaurant, movie reviews…the skys the limit with blogging and its addictive! Good luck and I will add you to my blogroll!
