If you’re entertaining this weekend and need an easy dessert…I’ve got a real easy one for you. If I’ve cooked several courses for a dinner party and just don’t have the time to make a homemade dessert (or I don’t want to serve a store brought dessert) I’ll serve dark chocolate almonds. Present on a pretty colorful flat serving plate and the dark chocolate just pops off the plate (I mean they’ll be popping off the plate into your friends’ mouth). With everyone trying to eat healthier they don’t want the desserts (or they really do want the desserts but don’t want to admit it). This satisfies the dessert craving without too much guilt. Hey, it’s almonds and dark chocolate. Serve with a fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon or dessert wine and you’re sure to be a hit. I recommend the dark chocolate almonds from The Fresh Market in their bulk section. One pound package is $6.99.

One Response to “Quick Dessert – Serve Dark Chocolate Almonds”

Yummy idea Wendy and almonds are so good for you. Another idea for dessert, or anytime, is frozen seedless red grapes. Rinse them off, sprinkle generous amount of sugar on top (the water holds the sugar) and freeze!
