Hop into a Costume

When you receive an invitation to a costume party the first reaction most people have is to say “no” because there can be so much anxiety in finding or pulling together a costume. The questions: where to start and what’s in that old closet of mine? Don’t fear. We attended a Mexican fiesta costume party in Cancun in February and Atlanta Costume made it so easy for us to participate in style. I was a señorita and Tim was Zorro (pictured at left). Atlanta Costume’s inventory of costumes is all designed from Broadway shows so they are very authentic and are rented often for local theatrical events. Their costumes range the gamut of periods from ancient Greek, Biblical, Medieval through the Renaissance and Georgian to the Gay ‘90s then to the ‘20s through ’80s. They also rent thematic costumes from a leprechaun (perfect for today) to the Easter bunny—one of their more popular rentals. They also have a full retail store with hats, wigs, accessories, and all sorts of crazy things you’ll need to complement your ensemble for your next costume party whether it’s this weekend or Halloween. Atlanta Costume, 2089 Monroe Drive NE, Atlanta. Monday-Saturday hours. 404.874.7511
