The 6th Annual ShamRock ‘N Roll Road Race (10K, 5K and fun run) is Sunday, March 14 at Atlantic Station. The race by the Junior League of Atlanta is a USATF certified course and can be used as a pre-qualifier for both 2010 and 2011 Peachtree Road Races. The Race begins and ends at Atlantic Station, on 17th Street west of I-75/I-85 in Midtown and will run through the surrounding neighborhoods. Entertainment will be provided on the course including the bands StratoGeezer and ConSoulTant. Then wind down after the race by listening to great music, checking out the local retailers or stay for a chance to win door prizes. The post-race party will have a special area for runners’ children and their four legged companions. Kids can play games and have their faces painted while fido enjoys special treats and toys. Kilt wearing runners are invited to run either race! This is a family and pet friendly event. Dogs and strollers are welcome and will be lined up at starting line behind other participants.
