Share Our Strength’s 23rd annual Taste of the Nation is Thursday, April 14 at the Georgia Aquarium, where nearly 50 chefs from Atlanta’s top restaurants will offer samples of their best dishes while guests also enjoy a plethora of wine tastings, live music and a live and silent auction. And what a chef lineup! It’s Atlanta’s largest fundraiser to fight childhood hunger and the event has raised more than $6 million since 1989 (beating out all other cities including NYC and LA!). The money raised support local organizations such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Genesis Shelter, as well as Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Georgia, in order to help the 19.7 percent of Georgians and 25 percent of Fulton County residents who live in poverty.
