The new Crate & Barrel store in the Shops Around Lenox opened earlier this spring with huge success. Customers will love that the new store is all on one level so it’s easy to shop the full line of Crate & Barrel’s houseware and furniture collections. Parking is much easier and closer to the store making it a breeze to shop and have the staff assist you to the car with packages. Additional underground parking includes an elevator that arrives directly into the store so it’s not an issue to shop during incumbent weather.

I asked the store manager, Sage Sweet, to give us her “Top 10 Sweet Picks for Spring and Summer” and I’m as excited to present them to you as she was to me, so here they are.

Sage’s Sweet Top 10 Picks for Spring and Summer

1.  Big Sur Dining Table and Bench
Sage said if she had a beach house that this dining room would be in it! Solid white oak with wood pegging details. Seats six. The dining table is 65” W x 37.5” D x 30” H. $1,449.00. The accompanying 48” bench is $699.00.

In her opinion, the ultimate in outdoor lounging and entertaining. The frame weave is synthetic and the Sunbrella-fabric cushions make the entire collection easy to clean. Mix and match to your liking but the entire 14 pieces in collection is $6855.75.

6.  Performer Weber Grill Green
The Weber charcoal grill is designed in an exclusive to Crate & Barrel glossy bright green color. The grill includes an interchangeable grate system that allows you to use a cast iron wok or griddle on the grill. I think Crate & Barrel should rename this grill the “Weber With a Southern Twist grill.” This grill would make any king of char proud. $349.95

8.  Molcajete
OK, you’re saying to yourself, what’s a malcajete? In essence, it’s a Mexican mortar and pestle and this one looks like it came right out of the Inca period. It’s an authentic Mexican molcajete which is hand carved of natural volcanic stone. A must for moles, salsa and fresh guacamole. For you non foodies out there that wouldn’t use it for grinding herbs and spices and blending sauces and pastes, could certainly use it as a serving dish that will impress your friends. Made in Mexico. $29.95

9.  Food Tent Green
Sage says that this is a must for any outdoor activity where food will be served. Well that’s any activity in the South. And what comes with any outdoor activity in the South? Bugs. It’s the new and improved version that would make our Southern grandmas proud. It pops up to a nice sized 20” x 20” tent to protect food from insects or pets. $4.95

10.  Table in a Bag
Sage said that you can’t go to SCREEN ON THE GREEN in Piedmont Park this summer or any proper picnic without it. It’s a 27.5” square table that’s 15.25” height with legs that rolls up to fit into a canvas carrying bag making it the perfect table-on-the-go. I had to have one and couldn’t leave the store without buying one. In addition to picnics I thought it would be great at the beach instead of trying to use the top of the cooler as a table which is problematic when you need anything out of the cooler. Reg. $59.95. Sale $44.95
