This year’s 6th Annual Aqua Vino on Thursday, October 13, with more than 200 fine wines from around the globe, gourmet fare from Atlanta’s restaurants, a live, silent and wine auction and live music. And it’s all in the grand ballroom with the aquarium’s vibrant oceanic galleries brimming from its walls and supports the Aquarium’s Veterinary Services through the Correll Center for Aquatic Animal Health. Ticket options include: VIP Tasting – $750 per couple, VIP Tasting Member – $650 per couple, Grand Tasting – $200 per person and Grand Tasting Member – $150 per person. Click to [...]]]> Share Our Strength’s 23rd annual Taste of the Nation is Thursday, April 14 at the Georgia Aquarium, where nearly 50 chefs from Atlanta’s top restaurants will offer samples of their best dishes while guests also enjoy a plethora of wine tastings, live music and a live and silent auction. And what a chef lineup! Click to see participating chefs and restaurants. It’s Atlanta’s largest fundraiser to fight childhood hunger and the event has raised more than $6 million since 1989 (beating out all other cities including NYC and LA!). The monies raised support local organizations such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Genesis Shelter, as well as Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters Georgia, in order to help the 19.7 percent of Georgians and 25 percent of Fulton County residents who live in poverty.
